a coca cola and uswnt collaboration
This project is courtesy of GLGR, I was the lead designer on this project. In the lead up to the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup, Coca Cola was a lead sponsor for the 2019 She Believes Cup. As a part of being the lead sponsor, the goal nets were Coca Cola red. The client asked us to take the 12 nets from the 6 games and create as many bracelets out of the nets as possible.
Here are various styles of the bracelet towards the end of the iterative process. The braided style, while ultimately leaving less waste with the net was far more labor intensive. Integrating the knitted net cross into the bracelet was imperative to the integrity of the bracelet as well as being able to vastly increase the usable area.
My goal with this bracelet was to make the net not just the highlight of the bracelet but as much of it as possible. Iterations began with various camp and paracord style knot bracelets until I found clasps that also granted us the possibility of additional branding on the bracelet itself.
